Music is Magical.

Marilyn Manson
“Music is the strongest form of magic.” - Marilyn Manson

Such a great quote from Marilyn Manson. Wait, isn't that the same guy who took his ribs out?! The guy who would cut himself to find pleasure in sucking on blood?! Gross, that guy who wanted to perform sexual ensuedoes to himself. Eww, what good could he or his music bring to the world. He's disgusting, I'm have no reason to listen to anything that sick man has to say !

I'm a Marilyn Manson fan, actually a music-loving addict . Besides that little bit of information, have you ever found yourself caught up in total nonsense, unnecessary information that you allow your mind to continually receive pleasure from because you're hearing faults, judgements, and 'hatred' of another person that pushes you away from confronting your own fault and/or habitual poor habits?!?! (We all have been there.)

Being a music junkie & fan that I am, when I heard these things about Marilyn Manson I had to do my little research on it and found an interview where Marilyn Manson spoke about these rumors, though admitted to being a little off (which he Loved)....leading him to find his passion. I learned that he was bullied as a kid and because he was always rather 'unique' in the things he found as hobbies, he took all the negative, hurtful words and fragments spoken to him and created his music image to be a freak-goth-looking-loser-albino and transformated all the lyrics of his songs to speak about peace and finding happiness within his own voice and tying in all the harmful & hatred acts of the world.
(Song Suggested Listen: The song 'Coma White', powerful song about Columbine)

As kids, magic was seeing ordinary stuff transform into some really cool shit (opps...cool stuff, lol). Some writers, talk about magic as being gratitude. A transformation and positive shift & change to appreciate and notice all the 'magic' we have surrounding us, will set a peaceful, happy, surrounding to our every day. To Marilyn Manson, and perhaps other musicians, this magic is a positive energy vibration and focus coming from the sounds, tones, and lyrics, allowing the mind & body to tune in and generate a healthy balance as well as appreciative state of mind.

When you hear the world magic, what do you think ? If it's positive, do you have thoughts that follow this feeling of 'magic' ?! If it's negative, what would the opposite way to think of it be ?! If you have no frickin care, clue, or desire, that's fine because I'm sure some time, any time you hear any type of music genre you like, your body (and mind) naturally increases a positive stimulation cultivating a meditative state of mind to receive relaxation from the music giving you that positive energy to rage in a happy moment to keep listening to the beat.
(positive creates more positive).

Who is one artist you appreciate listening to that gets you into that strong-focused state of mind ?

The Art of Happiness; inspired.

“We need to learn how to want what we have NOT to have what we want in order to get steady and stable Happiness”
Dalai Lama XIV,
The Art of Happiness

Over the summer I studied a method of meditation called Vipassana. Basically, this technique teaches you how to create a daily balance of happiness within every challenge AS WELL AS within every sense of blissful-pleasure. Not to say that bliss shouldn't be filled with excitement & enthusiasm and challenges shouldn't bring a sense of somberness, because feeling the 'experience' of any current event allows you to develop the awareness, strengthen, and balance of being present. And what has helped me, that knowing whatever the 'experience' may be it will soon pass on and a new one will occur, that to always remain equanimous.

Whether you have heard of 'The Art of Happiness' before now, the message (in a nut shell) talks about finding happiness in each day as each day brings beauty and appreciation, kinda like a beautiful piece of art.
(if you have anything to add on the "Art of Happiness', feel free to share!)

I was inspired to start {another] blog and take my Passion & Love of Fitness and intertwine all the areas of 'The Art of Happiness' into "The Art of Fitness'.
